Position: Orthopedic Surgeon
Location: Rutherfordton, NC
Job Type: Full-time
An established regional hospital in western North Carolina is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join a high-volume, hospital-employed practice. This position offers access to advanced technology, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to serve a growing community with a strong referral network.
• Join an established, full-scope orthopedic group with multiple physicians and APPs (mentorship available)
• Perform joint replacements (hip/knee, robotic or anterior approaches), fracture care, arthroscopy, casting, and splinting
• Standard clinic hours with OR block time and inpatient rounding
• Average 25–35 patients per day in clinic with steady referral volume
• Shared call coverage for one hospital
• Office equipped with on-site X-ray and Athena EMR
• Active development of a joint navigation program and robotic-assisted surgery expansion

Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Eligible for North Carolina medical license and DEA certification
• Fellowship training in joint replacement or robotic surgery preferred, not required
