Position: General Surgeon
Location: Wytheville, VA
Job Type: Full-time
A community-focused hospital in southwest Virginia is seeking an experienced Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to join its growing surgical program. This opportunity offers the ability to practice broad-scope general surgery, make a meaningful impact on an underserved community, and help expand local surgical capabilities with strong hospital support.
• Hospital-employed position with the opportunity to build and grow a community-based surgical practice
• Broad-scope general surgery including endoscopy, colonoscopy, acute surgical cases, and GI bleed management
• Practice independently with strong administrative and hospital leadership support
• da Vinci robotic surgery platform anticipated in the near future
• Additional compensation available for call coverage beyond contractual requirements

Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Active or eligible Virginia medical license and DEA certification
• Experience practicing independently in a community hospital setting preferred
