Position: General Surgeon
Location: Rutherfordton, NC
Job Type: Full-time
An established regional hospital in western North Carolina is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible General Surgeon to join its growing surgical team. This hospital-employed position offers the chance to practice full-scope general surgery in a supportive environment, equipped with modern technology and a strong referral network, all while enjoying an exceptional quality of life in the Blue Ridge region.
• Join a well-established surgical group at a Duke Lifepoint facility
• Bread-and-butter general surgery with endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures
• Average 10–20 patients per day with access to robust hospital support
• Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (OR in the mornings followed by clinic)
• Shared call rotation with a collegial team of three other general surgeons
• EMR systems: Athena (clinic) and Meditech (hospital)
• New graduates and visa candidates encouraged to apply

Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency
• Eligible for North Carolina medical license and DEA certification
