Position: Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Location: Ocala, FL
Job Type: Full-time
Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join experienced team. You will work alongside another cardiothoracic surgeon and 3 APPs skilled in endo vein harvesting. Our facility is equipped with a CVICU, two heart surgery rooms, strong perfusion support, a dedicated hybrid-OR, and specialized EP and Cath services. Three dedicated cardiac anesthesiologists are part of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements, and broad-based thoracic surgery.
- Participate in advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs, including TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery, aortic surgery, and ECMO.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Experience with aortic disease, including valve repair and replacement (open and endovascular).
- Proficiency with TAVR and minimally invasive lung surgery.
- Knowledge of advanced technologies to minimize the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team that includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgeons, RNs, and Critical Care staff.
